getting into Carnegie Mellon without 3 sciences?

just a quick questions..

i was reading the admission site and i found out that they require
3 sciences, chem, physc, and bio each...

i have chem 12, 11, physc 11, and no bio...
my schedule got kinda messed up so that i coulndt take bio...

is it possible to get in without 3 sciences? cos i do have 3 years of sci.
or is it possible to transfer to one of the computer science/engineering program after i get into Arts ?

I had the same problem, only i took bio, physics, and ap physics and not chem for scheduling issues as well. (applying for MCS too, ouch)
the site says the 3 sciences are required but in one of the booklets CMU mailed out, they’re only “recommended”

Anyways I had an interview with an admissions counselor a few months ago and asked about it. Because I wanted to apply for either math or physics in MCS, she said not taking chem probably wouldn’t hurt my app.
SoOOoOo unless you’re planning on majoring in biology (which I see you’re not), I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Also the counselor recommended that i either write something in the additional info part of the common app or ask my counselor to explain the issue in his letter.

Good luck :)
