Getting into college

Hi, I am currently a Jr in high school who wants to apply for Indiana University because I want to study business. I live in NYC. My question is that is it harder for OOS students to get into IU? I heard that IU cares more about the student's ranking in school more than his/her GPA for OSS students. Also, is it hard to get financial aid and scholarship in IU? What does IU look for in its applicants?

GPA: 3.0
ACT: haven't take it yet but I'm aiming for a 30.

Is there any other reason you want to go to that school? Tuition for out of state students is a lot more. NY has great schools for business, i.e. Baruch

btw my grades shows improvement from freshmen year to jr year. it went from a 80 to a 90. Does IU care about that?

It’s because Baruch is cuny school and I want to get into an actual university. I don’t know if i should go to Baruch then transfer to a better school or go to IU.

@Pujiyhgttb3‌ are you currently in college?

NYU has an amazing business school, although it is very competitive.

I am not in college, yet.
