Getting into combined after a year undergrad?

Do any of the combined ba/md programs allow people that are freshmen in college to apply?

Before finding out about college confidential, i didn't think i would get into any of the combined programs that i knew of. Now, it's too late to apply. And i want to transfer into a combined program. I have good stats and usually come out good from interviews....

I know that GW and Miami both have programs where freshmen can apply for acceptance into their med schools. Don't know about others, though. I don't think any programs allow transfers from other schools to come into the combined programs; most schools only allow their own undergrads to apply.

tufts has the same thing mentioned like GW: apply sophomore year for spot in med school.. but you have to be at tufts as an undergrad to do this

VCU: Virginia Commonwealth University has the same thing; its called the Preferred Applicant Track in Medicine. Sophmores who have attended VCU in their freshman year can apply for guaranteed admission into med school, except I think they have to score a 26 on the MCAT minimum while regular GMed students don't have to write the MCAT at all...
