Calculate your GPA, no one wants to calculate it for you.

And SAT scores?

3.9 GPA.
700- Writing.
710- Reading.
670- Math.

It’s a reach. Also, as a sophomore, did you actually take the SAT, is it an approximation, or are you extrapolating a score based on a PSAT? Because if its based on a sophomore PSAT, it could be very inaccurate. However it may not be and this could all be a mute point…

Regardless, GPA is good, but shoot for a higher SAT (appx 2200+ to have a fair shot) or maybe take the ACT (appx 33+). Also, being a sophomore, try to involve yourself in sports if you can… Also, you hadn’t mentioned which school you be applying to as their respective selectivities vary greatly.

Ill be applying to Cornell this Fall and if you could chance me in return that’d be awesome.

You’re just a sophomore so it’s impossible to chance you. You have a LOT of time before you apply to colleges, so just focus on improving your resume instead of gauging your chances.

At this point however, your GPA and SAT could stand to be better. Imo you should have a GPA of 3.94+ and an SAT of 2240+ to be competitive for Cornell. Also, you should get more EC’s that are related to your general area of interest. If you’re planning to apply for STEM, join more science clubs. If you like business/econ, join FBLA. You probably don’t know what major you’ll study (which is perfectly normal), but try to figure it out as soon as you can. Its much easier to build up your resume when you can focus it around a specific passion or interest.

I did take the SATs and these are my scores, I’m taking the again next fall, next spring, and then again the following fall. My major is going to be political science. Thanks for the help even though some of you were extremely rude.
