Getting into CS Pre-req's

Hey guys,

So I was admitted into the college of chemistry at Berkeley, and I was wondering how hard it would be to get into introductory courses on CS at L&S, because I’m really interested in a CS major. Is it really hard to get into the introductory 61A/B and 70 if you’re in the college of chemistry?

I remember reading that 61A has direct admission if you are in the CoE or L&S. It never mentioned the CoC.

Few of my kid’s friends are in COC, and they had no issues getting into CS classes.
Therefore, it shouldn’t be an issue for you as well.
It’s just that you might need to be patient to get off waitlist and willing to settle for late afternoon or night discussion sessions.
