Getting into CSUN film program?

Hello,

I am currently an undergrad who plans on transferring to CSUN in hopes of getting into their film program. As of right now I have completed all GE (including upper division GE which I completed at SDSU) and I have a 3.43 gpa, maybe 3.5 after this semester. I also will have a certificate in TV/Film from a local JC by the end of the semester. With all that I understand that I have to send in a portfolio, which is no problem, but does it look like I have a good shot? I have plenty of experience with film production, but hopefully someone can help me out and offer some insight. Thanks

You might want to also post this on the Visual Arts and Film Majors thread in the cc section on majors.

From what i’ve heard (my former boss has a film degree from there), it really isn’t too difficult to get in. The point of the portfolio is to weed out the potential applicants who decide to do film at the last second.

That makes me feel better I’m still waiting to hear back from them.
