<p>I heard getting into depaul is easy,is it? My dad went there and is pretty successful now so will it help my chances that he went there? </p>

<p>On the OPTIONAL questionare in the application i thought it was short answers not essay. so i only wrote a paragraph for one of them. Am I screwed? Do u think if i send them an additional essay they will take it into consideration?Will it help me?</p>

My gpa is a 2.6 But my guidance counselor helped me with a good recommendation letter explaining my low gpa because of difficult situations at home (i had to nurse my grandpa for months until he died of pancreatic cancer in the middle of my junior year, and my mother has been divorced and remarried 3 times while ive been in high school)
I have no d’s or f’s but alot of b’s and c’s :frowning:
Extra curriculars: varsity baseball 2 years (had to stop because of injuries and surgeries) Choir , Im also a singer songwriter
I also go to a hard high school that is 95% college bound
Dont forget my dad went there so i dont know if that will help me lol
Do u think maybe ill atleast get an interview?</p>

<p>I would say that you’re at a low reach for Depaul, the low end of the middle SAT scores was 1560, and you’re at a 1500, but you’re GPA is in the middle, and the essay explaining the hardships you have gone through will definitely help. I think you have a decent shot</p>
