Getting into finance

I'm currently a junior math major and am interested in getting into finance. I'm really just looking for a summer finance internship somewhere, my goal isn't to end up on wall street or anything. I would just like to try it out and see if I like it. I've only taken one economics course, but I've taken a lot of math, honors calc i, ii, lin alg, analysis, vector calc, topology, abstract algebra, differential topology, and will be taking courses in differential geometry, differential equations, and complex analysis this upcoming semester.

My question is would I even be considered for any finance internships, considering I don't really have any qualifications outside of math?

I'm considering applying to intel, and am looking for more places. My main goal this summer is to make as much money as possible to help with tuition.

Math is supposedly a great major since it shows you can handle hard work. It pretty much depends what school you go to though.

I go to clark university. Its a small liberal arts college.

Like I said my goal isn’t to end up on wall start or anything. I just want to try it out, and hopefully make some money in the process.

So far I’ve looked at intel, ibm, fdic, and sovereign bank. I have a lot of IT experience so I’m hoping that might be able to help me as well, thats kinda the reason why I’m looking at tech companies.
