Getting into GA Tech..

I'm a distressed junior.. my record isn't all that great, but.. I need suggestions/advice/consoling words.

SAT: 1720 CR: 590, M: 540, W: 590

GPA: a little over 3.7 cumulative, over 4.0 weighted.

AP Courses taken: US Gov, Biology, English Language, and Psychology. I plan to take 3-4 more next year.

ECs: French National Honor Society
.. that's it. I know, it's terrible. I have transportation issues :..

Student of the Month for Math and honor roll, I guess.

As you can see, my application will be quite pathetic. Any chance of me getting in? I have a friend that got a 1740, she got wait listed then accepted. I'm really aiming for a 2000.
(I'm not asking for "chances," just insight.)

Based on the GA Tech Freshman Class 2007 profile, I would think Tech would be a reach unless you dramatically increase your SAT math score.

Range (25th-75th percentile) of SAT I scores
Critical Reading : 590-690
Math: 650-730
Combined: 1250-1400
Range (25th-75th percentile) of high school GPAs: 3.60 - 3.96

If you get the GPA into their 1250 range I don't see any reason you can't get in.

if your SAT's go up than your set
