Hello,

I am a student hoping to get into a good graduate program for an English Master's degree, but I am worried that my GPA is not nearly high enough for the top schools. I have not officially taken the GRE yet, but I have taken some practice tests and can estimate my potential score.

GPA- 3.73, graduated early from my school's Honors College with dual majors in English Lit and Political Science
GRE (projected)- Verbal- 560, Quantitative- 770

I want to apply to Georgetown, University of Virginia, University of Chicago, Columbia, and a few other places. I also might take a chance on Oxford, though I have serious doubts about my chances. I do have recommendations from two Oxford alumni, though.

Is there a decent chance of getting accepted to these programs, or should I be looking at different schools? (I have also identified "safety" schools, which are not listed.)

Any feedback or insight is appreciated.
