Getting into Grad School

Just need some advice about my standpoint from here on out.
I'm a junior (going into my second semester) at Rutgers University (New Brunswick-Campus), I'm a History Major and Political Science Minor, and I'm looking into grad school right now. What really gets me is my "low gpa". I currently have a 2.8 and have about a year and a semester left of undergrad. Now I've really been fighting hard after a rough frosh year and have been constantly gettings A's in my courses to bring back my cumulative gpa , and I've done the math and at the rate im goin I should graduate with anywhere from a 3.1-3.3. Do i have a shot at some tier 1 grad schools (i'm not talking Ivy league, but some good schools). One other point is the courses that really screwed up my gpa were not related to my major or minor, just looking at my major gpa alone, and I have a 3.78.

Thanks

This forum is for undergraduate info,i think theere is a graduate forum.Good Luck
