I recently got my undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from one of the top 20 Engineering Schools. I graduated with a cumulative GPA of 2.81 and a major GPA of 3.00. I did not score well in my Orgo Chem classes and came with a lot of AP credits so didn't really have a shot in boosting my GPA in freshmen year. I want to apply to good universities for a masters in Engineering Management. Do I have a shot? Or is my 2.81 GPA drown me?

Depending on the school you are thinking of attending, a 2.81 GPA most likely won’t cut it.

You will have to WoW admissions officers with strong recommendation letters, test scores and research experience.

Work for a few years, and put some time between your 2.81 and your application to graduate school. Take some non-degree graduate classes, and make sure the rest of your package is strong.
