Your course rigor is certaintly lacking. Can you explain your ECs further?

If it is because of your school not offering them, it would be fine. They will see that from the school profile. If it is your personal decision, then it will hurt your chance.

Directly from the Harvard website:

http://www.admissions.college.harvard.edu/apply/faq.html#2

“Is it to a student’s advantage to take advanced, accelerated or honors courses?”
“Yes. Although schools provide different opportunities, students should pursue the most demanding college-preparatory program available.”

If you chose to not take AP courses and your school offers them, I don’t think you would have a chance of getting in to Harvard. However, if your school doesn’t offer AP courses, then that is a different story.

Well, if thats your SAT score, clearly they can see you’re capable of taking AP classes, even though your school didn’t have them. Your EC’s are decent. However I would advise against High Point…that’s not a place where someone with a 2300+ SAT should go. You basically just buy your diploma there…rigor is a joke.

Your lack of APs will bar you from acceptance to Harvard or Cornell but I think UCdavis is very feasible. Your ECs are decent but lack luster. What did you do to set yourself apart in a competitive application process? High Point would be a safety.
