I know that this is a dark horse here, I am not expecting great answers. But I just want to hear out and hear opinion because why not. What are my odds if I transfer over to a Ivy League school? I currently have a 3.00 GPA, I got a 1410 SAT (This is the 2400 version), if I raised my GPA during my 2nd semester of CC and retake the SAT, do you think there is a shot? Again, this is a dark horse question, but I just wanna hear out?
My honest opinion is no. You would need to increase your SAT score by almost 1000 (not that colleges care that much once you are out of high school) and your GPA to near a 4.0. As much as I’d like to be positive and tell you to go for it, you would just be wasting your time and money (unless you’ve done something really ground-breaking like being an Olympic athlete). I would suggest applying to schools that are less selective.
I would suggest you look for schools that are more realistic with your GPA and test scores. If you received a 3.0 your first semester and took the same amount of credits next semester and got a 4.0 that would only change your GPA to 3.5 which is still low by top school standards. There are great schools out there that aren’t in the Ivy League. I would suggest you do some research to find a school that is right for you.
What is your budget and intended major? What are you looking for in a school? Maybe this site can help you come up with realistic options?
I knew it wouldn’t be realistic haha. I made another thread about my stuff if you wanna check that out in my profile!
