Hello,
I received my acceptance letter for IU a while ago though i didn't get in through DA because of my SAT score (CR + Math) being below the required minimum.
well i'm currently studying the following A Level courses: Business Studies, Economics & Psychology and have been predicted A,B,B respectively. Basically i wanted to know how many credits would i be receiving for my subjects given i achieve the grade's i've been predicted ?

Also, since i didn't get directly admitted into Kelley, would my A Level courses cover up and exempt me from taking up the Standard Admission courses for Kelley? I basically want to know how my freshmen year will be like since i'm doing the A Level courses.

My SAT score was 1800 (CR 560, Math 590 & Writing 650)

What are “A” level courses? It’s a term I’m not familiar with. You can receive credit for AP courses if you take the AP exam and your score is high enough. The only “graded” courses I’m aware of which IU gives credit for are dual credit courses–courses which allow one to complete a high school and a college level credit.

A Levels (Advanced Levels) are british courses taught in high schools that follow the british curriculum, they are studied over a span of 2 years. the first year being the A/S Level (Advanced Subsidiary Level) and second/final year being the A2 (Advanced Level).
They are different from AP courses since APs are not part of the High School curriculum, its basically like something additional however the A Levels is more like a qualification you receive for studying the last 2 years of high school in a british curriculum school.

From what i’ve heard, the A Level courses we take a given credits in the US and are termed as Advanced Standing or something. so yeah, i just want some more input on this since my current A Level courses cover up quite a few of the modules “courses” that are listed for Standard Admission

forgot to mention this earlier, the A Levels are administrated by different boards (organizations). the one’s i’m studying are administrated by the CIE board which is directly under The University of Cambridge in UK

Your Kelley admission courses must be taken at IU Bloomington. You might get some credit for these A level courses, but you will have to take 4 admission courses at IU.

or contact the international student department for more info.

In playing around I don’t see any course from Cambridge that receives more than 1 credit, but that really is just messing around and not definitive.
