Getting into Lehigh University.

I went to go see Lehigh University a couple of months ago and really liked what the school had to offer.

However my GPA is only a 2.7 (B-) and im going to be a senior. Would this school be to much of a reach?

What schools would be good for me to apply to?

Yes, Lehigh would be a stretch. It is highly selective. If you go to their web site and type in “common data set” into the search box, it will give you a breakdown of the students SAT scores, GPA, etc. What was it that interested you in Lehigh and do you have a major in mind?

With that GPA you likely won’t get into Lehigh even with a good SAT score. But try to get the highest SAT score you can and just give it a shot. What state are you from? Perhaps some state schools.

You would have to be a helluva soccer player to get into Lehigh with a 2.7

Maybe if you get a sizeable SAT/ACT grade (Lehigh’s only interested in the 1600 scale for SAT as of now) you would have a better shot. You could also work on your grades this year and perhaps apply early to Lehigh. I’m relatively sure that interviews have a minimal effect on one’s admission into Lehigh, but I’m also relatively sure that visiting the campus shows them that you have interest.

I’ll say this, not to put a damper on your hopes but I didnt get in with a 3.5 gpa this past year.
