<p>I also took a year off to give SATs and gain experience in C++, JAVA, HTML, XML. </p>

<p>2ish. I am also the Captain of my House at my school. I did community service as well. I also practice Taekwondo. </p>
<p>Do you have a reason why your GPA is so low? Your SAT clearly shows you have the potential to be competitive (or perhaps you’re just very good at test taking). Regardless, despite your SAT being higher than typical NYU applicants, NYU would be a reach school for you, unless you have some very compelling reasons to explain your GPA. </p>
<p>Well my mom got cancer in my senior year. But I had low GPA before that too.
You see, I’m from India. We don’t care about all year studies. There are only two major exams we focus on. 10th year and 12th year. I got A on my 10th year exam and A on my 12th year as well.
