Getting into Northeastern University

Hi everyone, I'm a senior in high school finished with all of my apps but my top choice is Northeastern. I didn't find this school until late in the game so I couldn't apply early decision or even early action though I really really wanted to. I applied RD and have been researching my chances and I feel like I'm falling off the brink of acceptance-- Its not a good feeling for your top choice!

My ACT composite was a 27
and I didn't send my SAT scores but I got a 1710.
My GPA is a 91.4 which college board said is about a 3.7.
ranked 73 out of 274, which is just outside the 25th percentile.
I've taken all honors english and history classes including 2 years of AP English, AP Macroeconomics, and AP US history and one year of college level spanish.
I've played volleyball for 6 years club and school, piano for 10, student council treasurer for 3 years and key club treasurer for 2. on my school's chapter of NHS.

I really want to go into economics which thankfully is one of the less competitive majors offered at NU but I'm still super nervous because to me, my credentials are pretty much the same as what the majority of who is applying to NU are. Anyway, I was accepted to Bard College which has the same acceptance rate as NU but is much smaller.

Thank you to anyone who helps me!

Your GPA is fine and your tests scores are a little below their average. Your ECs are varied but not very substantial so if you wrote great essays id put you at a match/ high match.

My thread (chance please): <a href=“Chances for Vanderbilt, UNC, NYU, UF, and Duke? - Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1610985-chances-for-vanderbilt-unc-nyu-uf-and-duke-p1.html</a>

The mid 50% of ACT scores for enrolled freshmen in 2013 was 30-33. Northeastern is a reach.

Northeastern: match/high match

Northeastern: Match

Chance me please <a href=“Chances for the following colleges, will chance back! - #5 by torusdonut - Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums”>Chances for the following colleges, will chance back! - #5 by torusdonut - Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums;

Thanks everyone for your input. My mid year gpa without a grade change (which I can do if it’s a problem) is a 92.5 for first quarter then drops to an 89.8 for this quarter. Is that drop really bad?

Your scores are a bit low but it is certainly possible

Chance me back!
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1613053-chance-me-what-schools-would-be-reaches-matches-and-safties-for-me.html#latest</a></p>

Since I am an international student, NU accepted me with an SAT score of 1530 and a TOEFL score of 100. My mid year GPA is 3.6

You have a chance but your score is low
chance back

It’s a reach but not impossible. Your test scores are a little low; that could be your downfall. There’s still a good chance that you get in though  Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1616335-chance-me-and-i-ll-chance-back.html</a></p>
