Trying to judge whether or not a student will get into Gallatin is, in many ways, like trying to guess whether a student will get into Tisch. A large part of Gallatin admission is how driven they see you as, if your goals are in line for self-guided study, etc. That being said, they are going to look to see how you have performed previously. Gallatin, being a kind of self-designed study, looks for student who are capable of handling their responsibilities and often exceeding them. A 3.2 GPA does not reflect a strong, independent student. That being said, I would aim for a 3.6 GPA and 2000+ on the SATs minimum for a good chance of getting in.

^I agree. Gallatin is a true toss up. Essay really matter, show your passion. Why do you want to pursue an individualized education? Moreover, why do you NEED to pursue an individualized education? Get those grades up and beast the SAT!

I’d say add 50 points to 2000 for every .1 you are off a 3.6 GPA.

3.2? 2200.
