Hi,
I am a high school student who is interested in pursuing a finance route through college and eventually getting my MBA. During my search for colleges I found one in particular that I liked, NYU. I read up on NYU Stern and I was wondering if they had an undergraduate program. Can you get admitted into Stern right out of high school or is it solely for people trying to get an MBA post undergrad school. I have about a 3.8 (weighted) and got a 1460 (770 math, 690 reading) on my SAT’s that were out of 1600.
I suggest going to the Stern website and seeing if they have undergrad and then what the admissions requirements are.
Have looked there but they don’t give you much.
Yes NYU Stern does have an undergraduate school. Also, in general, NYU undergraduate had an acceptance rate of 33% for 2015 (I do not know specifics for Stern).
Also, I believe colleges care more about unweighted GPA since not all high schools weight GPAs.
I do not know many specifics about NYU Stern (even though I have a friend there), but you should definitely do more research. If you really liked NYU Stern for your MBA so much you really should have known that it has an undergraduate school as well.
In the future, it would probably be best to not ask questions on College Confidential that can be answered with a simple Google search. (ie. “NYU Stern undergrad”)
Yes, NYU Stern has an undergraduate college, and the acceptance rate for the class of 2020 was 12%.
