Hello,

I have just finished my sophomore year of high school and since eight grade I have been completely glued to the idea of going the the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at NYU. I have not taken any SATs or ACTs, but I am confident, based off of practice exams we have taken in school, that i can score in the 2,000s on my SAT and very high on my ACT as well. Same goes for SAT II Subject Tests which I will be taking at the end of my junior year.

At my school, our grades are out of 100, not a 4.0 scale. Unweighted right now I have around a 97, but adding in all my APs and Honors classes I will have over a 100, around a 106-107 by the time I finish high school.

I have taken the hardest courses I could possible take, even doubled in science sophomore year and will double in math Junior year. I haven't even had a lunch break or a study hall for the past 2 years!

Extra Curriculars are what I am really focusing on this year. If anyone has any idea to help me enhance my chance of getting into Gallatin in terms of ECs, let me know!
Currently I'm an active member of SADD and the Open Mic Nights at our school.
Freshman year I was Treasurer of NJHS
Sophomore I was Historian of SADD
Junior I will be the secretary of SADD
I'm in NHS, FLHS, and Art Honor Society.
I've been a Varsity cheerleader since freshman year and was chosen to be on the competition team as well.
I have won about 4 out of school essay contests, as well as the Academic Award for English in 9th grade.
I don't know if these would count, but I am a self-taugh pianist and photographer.
Oh! I also attended a 2 week summer intensive photography camp. I took one precollege summer class at FIT last year and will be taking 2 more this year.
I know I definitely need volunteer work. All I have right now is tutoring once a week.

Next year I am hoping to join Yearbook and Interact Club at my school.

I know I am only a sophomore and that Junior year will make a HUGE difference, but as of right now... where do I stand? Also, what can I do to make my chances even greater.

No joke, my life revolves around me getting into Gallatin. It is my dream, and I am determined to achieve it.
