I'm a junior in high school and my current gpa is a 3.25. My freshman year grades were okay, mostly B's, and my gpa was around a 3. My sophomore year grades sucked, being around a 2.25/2.5. I still have another semester left of junior year, where I'm hoping to get better grades. During my senior year I'm going to be taking a lot of english classes and journalism classes because I want to major in journalism and creative writing. Is there even a slight chance that with these grades I will get into NYU? I know it's a bit early to tell, but I'm curious. Would I be able to get into NYU? Or would it be smarter to go somewhere like Hofstra University or Marymount Manhattan for a year or two then transfer to NYU?
