Getting into Purdue Computer Science Program with low SAT

I have a pretty good GPA of a 4.5 weighted and a 3.9 unweighted.
However, my SAT score is pretty low. I have a 1220 on the New SAT (which is around a 1700 on the old)
I am ranked in 10 in my class on 520 and I am involved in various things including:
-National Honor Society
-National Technical Honor Society
-Vice President of National Spanish Honor Society
-Member of Key Club
-Member of BioBuilders Club

My main college preference would be Purdue, and I wanted to know if I could get in with these stats

First lets start with your GPA. The average GPA of those accepted is 3.87. This is the average and computer science is more competitive but you have a very strong GPA and that will help a lot.

Now for the SAT. The average SAT of those accepted is 1317/1600 or 1947/2400. So your test scores are what is weighing you down (which I presume you know).

Purdue doesn’t value class rank much, but it won’t hurt you.

I believe your EC’s are all right but nothing stands out, so it may help you a little but don’t count on it.

I think you would have a good chance of getting in but if I were you I would retake the SAT or ACT as even a slightly higher score will do so much.

Best of Luck!

What do you think would be a good ACT score to get in?

30+ is ideal

You may want to consider applying for a different major than CS or engineering. Since your test scores are low but grades are high you would hopefully do well enough to transfer into CS later.
