Getting into Thomas Jefferson HSST Sophomore Admissions

<p>Hello everyone,</p>

<p>I am a Freshman who is moving to Arlington and I am looking to apply to the Sophomore class at TJHSST.</p>

<p>The activities I do include:</p>

<p>Chess - I have won 3 recent tournaments for my rating class
Science Fair - I got 2nd place at the VSSEF
SAT - I have a 2000 SAT score
Grades - I have all A's for any high school courses taken in middle school. I have a B in Honors English for my 1st Semester but an A for 3rd quarter.</p>

<p>I really want to goto this school - please honestly tell me the chances of me getting in.</p>

<p>Grades are good, extracurricular activities are good, test score seems enough…
and now it just depends on your essays and teacher recommendations!:slight_smile: Make sure your essay stands out----but don’t force it; the administrators know when they see an essay too desperate to stand out. Think of something creative for your essay that screams ‘you’ all over the paper, and just make it good. :)</p>
