What are the chances of a student getting into a top MBA Program (Harvard,Wharton,Stanford,Berkeley etc) directly after college without any work experience if the student has outstanding academic record (like 3.8+) and great GMAT score ?Of course, perfect recommendations and essays

anyone ;)bump

have you done anything unusual re internships or full time work?

that will be important

Well, unusual not,but I started my own business when I was sophomore and I can say I expanded it .Well,it is not a multinational company but it helps me paying the tuition :)

id say starting a business as a sophomore is unusual, that is just the sort of thing they’ll be looking for

Harvard has 2+2 program, Yale has Silver Scholars, Wharton has 3+2 (for Wharton Undergrad).
Stanford trends younger applicants, but you do need WE.
Haas, don’t bother, historically they prefer applicants with extensive WE, more than other top programs.

For those top schools, you need to have excellent credentials on top of GMAT and GPA if you want to get in without WE.

OK,but how many years of Work experience do you think is appropriate ?I am international student, btw.

BTW,Berkeley school of Business sounds very nice.Is it easier to get in than in Harvard,Yale,Stanford

It’s not the quantity of the WE that counts, but the quality. Still, I’d say you need at least 2 years of solid WE.

Haas and Stanford has the lowest acceptance rate because of large applicant pool and small class size.

If you want to go to MBA without WE, I think you should concentrate on the schools I’ve mentioned.

Ops,and something more :)Why do applicants who are married pay more money ?
