Getting into top-tier Universities with low gpa

I am currently a student studying Hong Kong, and I wish to study in schools like MIT.
But in Hong Kong it is extremely difficult to achieve a high GPA (atleast for me). So
Is it possible for me to be accepted by the top-tier schools? Is it possible if I have perfect
SAT scores and a lot of extracurricular activities?

Asians with perfect SAT scores don’t really stand out.
If u were an URM, u would have had a good chance at many schools with ur perfect SAT.

Yes, I am sure it is extremely difficult to achieve a high GPA at your Hong Kong school. Do any of your classmates have a high GPA?

Being an international applicant puts you in a pool of applicants of much higher caliber than average applicant pools. You will not be considered with a substantially lower GPA, nor your over represented ethnicity. Your perfect test scores will be looked at as average and you will be overshadowed by all the other better applicants. Still, best of luck!
