Getting Into Uc Berkeley. :]

What is the average GPA, SAT Reasoning test score, and SAT II scores to get into Berkeley?
What kind of extracurriculars do you have to participate in?
Is it really so hard to get into UC Berkeley?

Sorry so many questions,
I'm just somewhat scared that instead of the 20-24% who get accepted, I'll be the 76-80% who get rejected.

Please help.
And many thanks.

I'm not sure what the averages for this year were but last year's averages are found here... http://www.ophs.opusd.k12.ca.us/uc_admissions_statistics.htm

I had a 1830 SAT, 4.3GPA, fairly good EC's and got in.

You should check the stats of those who were just admitted on thursday. There's a thread entitled "*Official Decisions Thread: Class of 2011"... this should give you a good idea of what kind of stats will get you in. :]

Really, even if you are otherwise solidly within range (like my friend: ACT score of 33, 4+ weighted GPA), you can still be rejected. There are so many people applying to the UCs that it is a crapshoot. If you are a junior, I really don't think there is anymore that you can do except maybe bump up your SAT scores. Having just one year of ECs aren't gonna help you.

cjue, that link you posted is from my school's website! haha what are the odds? just thought i'd let you know.... congrats to everyone who got into berkeley this year btw!
