Getting into UCI???

I really want to go to UCI (University of California Irvine) that is my dream school, i put my major as pharmaceutical science. I am not sure if that impacts admission or not, if so is that a good choice for a major

I have around a 3.5-3.6 weighted GPA (I know,its not that great)
SAT 1690 ( I am going to take it again, shooting for an 1800+)
150+ hours of community service. Mostly at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. I also did some hours at a free clinic and a local mosque.
Clubs: MSA (Muslim Student Association, 4 yrs), MUN(Model United Nations 2 yrs),
Red Cross 4 yrs, CSF (California Scholarship Federation 1 yr)
I also took an Arabic course over the summer at cal state san bernardino, im not sure if i should put that on my application or if it will help my cause at all.
Please tell me what are my chances of getting into UCI also i would like to go to UCR (University of California Riverside) what are my chances for over there as well?

Oh and i put Bio as my major for UCR but i never took ap bio just honors my freshmen year but i did pretty well. Should i change my major, if so what should i change it to. I would like to be a pharmacist.

You should definitely try to raise your SAT score. You have a chance but you should have some safeties. UC’s also look at personal statements. I’m not sure if UCI has a policy for SATII so you should check that. Best of Luck!

Thanks STEPHWONG, I will do my best and hopefully i can get my SAT score up, I did some research and i found out that UCI does not hold it against you if you do not take the SATII’s. I actually put a copy of my personal statement up on another thread i posted. Do you think you could check it out and give me some feedback, that would really be appreciated. I’m really nervous about this whole college process.

You should be fine for UCR. I do suggest shooting for UCI though, and for that you definitely need to retake your SAT I

Sure, i’ll check it out. You should ask your counselor for feedback on your essays. Do you live in California? If you don’t I think it’s easier to get into UCI because California needs the money but i’m not sure.

Yea i live in California, I thought that it would be easier if you lived in California. Oh well hopefully it won’t make that big of a difference
