I had a 4.0 (31 units) but I screwed up this semester and I'll most likely be getting a C, B, B. I have TAP. Will 1 C significantly lower my chances? Is getting admitted to UCLA with 1 C common? Should I fail the class instead (final's tomorrow) and retake it? =(

No. It’s impossible. You will be flipping burgers for the rest of your life.

in all seriousness: relax. People get in with C,D,Fs. Just don’t get them again.

Depending on your major, you are fine. I wouldn’t recommend failing on purpose. As an anthro major, I got into UCLA, Cal, UCSB, and UCD with C, B, B and the rest were As. (I got another C and B this semester but my GPA was still high enough to not get rescinded)

it greatly depends on your major.

I agree, depends on your major.

I was admitted to LA with a C and a couple B’s. You got this. Do not fail on purpose.

Thank you guys so much! I feel a lot better. My major is psychology, by the way. I’m going to get myself off the internet and study. =)
