Hi, I have a few questions in regards to my chances of receiving acceptance to UNC. To make a long story short, I started high school off strong maintaining a 3.7 UW throughout my first two years. I didn’t care so much about school after that and needless to say I graduated high school with a 3.1 W.
However, during my senior year I began my first internship with a startup tech-recycling company. After my time there was up, I started another internship with a corrugated board manufacturing plant as a quality lab technician.
Last January I was hired full-time as a quality lab technician working 40 hours a week M-F. I started school this fall at my local CC and ended up with a 3.54 GPA after the first semester, taking full-time credit hours and still working at my internship 40 hours a week.
I haven’t taken the SAT or ACT, as those things were of little importance to me during high school unfortunately.
I have also started a website/blog that I work on frequently. If you’d like to read some of writing: www.fishfliez.com
I plan to apply to UNC as a rising Junior. Given my current achievements and limitations, what should I do between now and the end of my sophomore year to better my chances of acceptance?
