Hello. I recently applied to two uni's as a transfer student (with qualifying requirements at both colleges, 3.0+ GPA and at least 24 credit hours completed) However, each application asked me if I have ever been suspended at an institution and the cause.
In high school I was caught off campus (which is illegal in my state under 18). The high school cop saw me and my friends sneaking off campus during lunch. While picking us up to escort us back, he searched our bags and found a pipe in my bag. I was suspended for 5 school days (Mon-Fri).
However, I got accepted into a Uni after graduation no issues... They didn't even ask about past school suspensions etc.
Just how big of an impact will this have in my acceptance into college? I have had no issues since then and have a clean record. (I even have background history of working and staying productive the entire time I was not in school. I completed my Freshman year of college then had to take a break for two years due to having my son) Would love some feedback. The suspension happened when I was a junior in high school in 2008. I am now 21, about to turn 22.

thanks ^_^

That’s such a minor offense that most colleges wouldn’t care if it happened one year ago let alone five.
