did you already clear the prereqs? you should be able to add it without any problem.

the only pre-reqs for the class i want is upper division standing, which i dont have

As a psych major, even if I have fulfilled the Psyc 60 pre-req... if I don't have 90 units, thus have Jr/Sr status, I CANNOT enroll in the class. Contacting your major's department and/or contacting the professor won't get you into the class, sorry. :( If it says Jr/Sr as a pre-req, you'll have to wait.

Well, you COULD get the department to override the prereqs for you, though the procedure (and the likelihood of it happening) might vary from department to department. For the bio department, you just need to get the professor of the class to e-mail the bio department, and they will allow you give you permission to enroll in the course. I've done it before, and it literally took less than a day for me to enroll. You may want to contact your department or check their website, though.

I just saw Silverkinz post about not being able to waive psych prereqs, so apparently your ability to do so is highly dependent on your major/department.

Silverkinz the class doesnt say Jr/Sr only, It just says upper div standing in the description.

I figured it out. You just have to get an add slip from your counselor and have the professor sign it and be waived in.
