Getting into USC

I was wondering if anyone could take a guess as to my odds of getting accepted.

GPA: 3.8
SAT: 1290 (1900 on 2400)
ACT:29

9 AP classes (passed all exams if that even matters)

Plenty of extracurriculars and community service

National Honor Society and other local awards

And lets just say I do well on the essay and recommendations

Thanks!

You have a chance but your test scores are low. The average SAT for accepted students was close to 2100 this year and competition is supposed to get harder next year (more students in class of 2012 plus they over-enrolled this year). If 3.8 is unweighted, that's about average so that's good, but try to do well first semester senior year because they will ask for the grades and that could make the difference. Did you take SAT2s? If not, you don't have to let them know any of your SAT scores since a 29 is better than a 1900, but i would try to hit above 2000 or 30 for a solid chance.

Hey thanks for the quick reply. Also, concerning early admission. Will this increase the chances of acceptance because you are compared with a smaller group of people, or will it have little effect on my odds?

There is no EA or ED program at USC. There is only the scholarship deadline in December.
