getting into vanderbilt as a minority ?

since it is a southern school i was wondering if it's "easier" to get in a minority than it would be to other schools. i'm tawianese and from California. i do a lot of extra curricular activites, volunteer work, figure skating, and insruments. I scored 1970 on my SATI. I'm great at writing, so I'm planning to write a fantastic personal statement.

It may be a little more of an advantage to be an Asian applicant at Vandy than other top tier schools. However it is still a very difficult school to get accepted to and without other stats it is impossible to make an educated guess on your chances. If the 1970 SAT is your best stat, you will need to improve. Just a guess as I have nothing else to go on. Best of Luck.

I just graduated from Vanderbilt. Asians are one of the less common minorities on campus, so it might help since the university has been pushing diversity harder these days. Things have gotten crazy competitive in the last couple of years, though. What’re you other stats?
