Getting letters of REC from retired teachers?

okay so my situaation sucks.

i was thiniking about asking my chem honors teacher to write my letters of rec for college along with my ap euro teacher and ap english lang teachher.

im leaning toowards have my chem honors teacher write one of my letters of rec since he loves me and he knew me really well inside the classroom and outside; but there are two downnfalls, he was my teacher soph year and hes retired - woould that put me at a disadvantage? especially since he no longer teaches?

also, is it better to have a teacher who you got an A in the class write your letter of rec? because i was thinking of having my ap euro teacher wriote one of my letters since it was my first ap class [and i passed] even know i got a B...

Do not have the chemistry teacher write your recommendation. You have two recommendations already, and he taught you in sophomore year. Colleges really don’t want to see people writing your recommendations from anything but junior and senior year.

A recommendation can be spectacular even if you got a B in the class!

oh but my ap euro teacher is froom my soph year too.

see from my jr year i have myy
-ap us history teacher [i got an A in her class but didnt pass the Ap exam so im not going to ask her]
-math anal teahcer [ im not strong in math so theres no pt of asking a math yteacher to write my lettter of rec]
-physics honors teacher [ who retired -____- &doesnt like me as much as my chem teacher]
-journallism teacher [ who retired and im not going to be a journalist]
-coach [so not asking a coach to write my letter of rec]
AND
-ap english lanng teacher [ who imm planning to ask]
