I'm a high school student and I'm going to a community college so I can take classes to be able to get into the University of Alabama for nursing, I live in Georgia but I'm wondering if I go to Alabama will I only get licensed to be a nurse in Alabama?

It appears that neither Georgia nor Alabama participate in the NCLEX licensure compact. You will have to check what rules Georgia follows with regards to a license from Alabama.

The test is the same in all 50 states. 24 states have a formal compact making it easier to transfer licenses. However, in most remaining states, it is mainly a paperwork process to get registered in a different state. Many students take the test in the state where they attend college, and then get licensed in a different state.

When you take the exam you can indicate what state you’d like to be licensed in. My d took the test in Michigan but had a job offer in DC.
