I'm currently a freshman at the Savannah College of Art and Design, and my boyfriend is 3 years older than me and in the Air Force. He's going off to Basic Training March '10 and has a contract for 4 years, during which he'll be finishing up school.

We've been dating for 3 years now. We've talked about our future together and he's not one of those guys that's 'afraid' of marriage.

I've really been thinking....would it be crazy to get married while I'm still in college? I don't want to be one of those couples that dates for 8 years. I feel like that just looks like you're afraid to really commit. We're both ready.

What advice do any of you have to give about my sitauation? We're currently doing the long distance thing (He's in VA and I'm in GA) and we're going strong as always. With the exception of 2 to 3 visits a month, we'll be long distance while I'm in college. He'll have 5 to 6 months still left to serve after I graduate. If we're married, I can move on base with him when I'm done with school. Should we wait until I've graduated, or maybe until my junior/senior year? All the stories I've read about getting married in college have been about couples going to college together at the same time, and my situation is very different.

Thank you for any advice!
