Getting my hopes up?

Hey i'm an international applicant to JHU and i'm getting scared about my chance of acceptance. I just got rejected from duke and a few weeks ago from brandeis (it was definitely a "*** is wrong with them" moment).

I'm indian but i've grown up in the middle east my entire life (lived in saudi, iran, uae, qatar) so i guess i have "diversity"

I go to an american school and have taken
AP Bio (5) and AP World History (5) in grade 10
AP Chem (5) and AP Lang (3) in grade 11
and now my ap's are AP Cal (AB and BC) AP Environmental and AP Lit

My sat superscore (took SAT twice) is CR 700, Math 720, and W 670
SAT II of Biology 710, Math II 710, World History 670
ACT 31 composite and TOEFL of 118 out of 120

I think my unweighted GPA should be around a mid to high 3.9ish and im a well behaved student

I also do extra curricular activities like National Honor Society, im in a tutoring organization, i help out at the animal shelter, was on the JV volleyball team, MUN (went to THIMUN singapore), and was in an afterschool band. i was given the citizenship award at school (sounds lame i know) for demonstrating positive school values

I thought i had quite a strong application but ever since i got my rejection from duke i've seriously been doubting myself. It might also be because i've applied for financial aid and with all this economic downturn stuff that they're getting low on funds for international students.

Am i getting my hopes up?

I also applied to Rice, vanderbilt, colby, ohio wesleyan (my safety and only acceptance so far), duke (rejected), and brandeis (rejected). Do you guys think I have a shot at my other colleges too?

Thanks and i know this is boring question =)

you should know rice and vandy by now. it’s iffy at jhu for you.

you will know in 3 hours…so just chill.

ouch i just got an email from vanderbilt and it was another rejection

=(

on the bright side ohio wesleyan was really nice to me and i’ve got a $26,000 scholarship so i guess that’s good…

lol u are a well behaved student… thanks for telling us :)

haha hey i apologized in advance for the lame question!!

but yeah they said i was on the waiting list. so basically that comes down to 1 acceptance, 1 waiting list, 4 rejections, and one unknown

hasnt this been a wonderful process…
