I'm pretty much worried about everything. I got admitted to UC Berkeley and I'm scared as hell, the thing I'm most concerned is academics.
I've been in a small school for most of my life so I'm not sure I can fit in or compete with other students at a huge public school. And moreover, I'm commuting my first year so I think I would miss out a lot of college experience.
But anyway, any advices to make me stop panicking?

that school is so diverse, there a lots of people from from small towns, big cities, other countries, diff. states. you’re no different.

since your commuting you will miss out on the experience, unless you get involved on campus…so get involved.
have fun!

You shouldn’t be, just be happy that you are out of crappy HS and on your way to so much freedom, you won’t know what it is :)

Its true that you do get out of the shallow HS life but still, just thinking about being lost in the midst of geniuses already freak me out. Am I exaggerating?
Anyway, the UC requirement testing is also getting on my nerves too. 90$ for a test? Should have taken the AP English. :(

“Am I exaggerating?”

I think so. I go to UWMadison and there’s a solid blend of stupid, lazy, competent, and excelling people. Here, you wouldn’t get lost in the midst of geniuses because there’s plenty of failures, relatively speaking. But if you end up finding out you’re really smart, you’ll have your niche.

I’m not saying Berkeley and UW are comparable–I’m sure Berkeley is significantly better–but it’s definitely a similarly sized public and both get a decent rep at least. If you got in I’m sure you’re capable. You might even be disappointed if you wanted a really rigorous academic workload.
