Getting off the waiting list in Comparative Literature

There are 17 spots in Comparative Literature R1B. There is a maximum of 5 waiting list spots. If I had the 5th spot, what are the chances of me getting into the class?

Are they generally lenient with adding 5 more students to a class of 17?

Thank you so much!

no, R&C almost never get drops so the waitlist doesn’t clear to the usual 10% rule. Even at 10%, that would be 1.7 clearing, #5 is just masochistic.

Well, you do realize that there’s 16 Comparative Lit R1B lectures, right? And most of them have quite a few spots left, with no one on the waitlist. If your TeleBears is today or sometime soon, I’m sure you’ll be able to get into one.

for R&C, always always sign up for an open slot rather than try a waitlist for a more desireable class or time.

Great. I am going to stick with the current Comp. Lit. class I am currently in. Thank you guys for your help! I was only wondering, since the class that I would’ve been waitlisted in has a very interesting topic. Thank you again!
