Getting off the Waitlist

I was recently waitlisted at Vanderbilt and am considering whether I want to try to get off it (which will largely be dependent on where else I am accepted). Would it be appropriate to send a music supplement? I listed a lot of my music activities in my application but did not include an actual recording. I was also considering including a brief laundry list with a couple new musical groups I joined. Other than this, I am not sure what other steps I should be taking. 3MP grades aren’t good enough to send and I’ve already sent 4 letters of rec (counselor, calc, physics C, and band director). If I don’t get accepted anywhere but my safety, I am still hesitant to make the “if you take me off the waitlist I will attend” commitment for financial reasons as I’d prefer to see aid first. Are the FA calculators usually accurate? Any advice would be appreciated.

Honestly, may be a good idea move on. I know its not the news you want to hear, but if you look at the Common Data Set from Vanderbilt last year https://virg.vanderbilt.edu/virgweb/CDSC.aspx?year=2014 they offered a spot on the waiting list to 6,000 kids, 4,500 accepted it, and they actually took 210. Sure, 210 is not 0, but its a longshot; worse that the odds of regular admission.

I realize that the odds are low, but should I not be accepted anywhere other than my safety, I’d at least like to have done what I can to get off the waitlist. I also got waitlisted at Duke today, which they say is only ~1000 large (though I realize its drawn from much less consistently).
