getting off the waitlist

I'm considering going on the waitlist for math140 and enes100 for a certain time slot that would give me a really good schedule. There's no one on the waiting list for these time slots so far. There are two sections available of enes100 available at that time, and three of math140. So my question is, would I have a good shot at getting in these classes before the start of my semester? If, not, I'd rather take a bad schedule than sacrifice these two important classes.

Also, unrelated but if you're answering that question, you might know the answer to this one too: can I get from Tyding Hall to the chem building in under 10 mins? Tyding's in section E3, chem is in section G5. Thanks!

If there's no one on the waitlist, you stand a good chance of getting in before the semester if you're #1...also you'll probably get in after the semester starts and people mess with their schedules.

Also, you can definitely make it from Tydings to Chem in 10 minutes. It's downhill.

Thanks! 10char

My son was #2 on the waitlist for a class, and got in already.

oregonianmom, was it an elective class, or a requirement? My main concern was that math140 and enes100 are both engineering requirements, and since there are only one or two classes of each that still have a few open spots, people wouldn't be switching around much, especially if they saw that there was someone on the waitlist and the second they dropped the class, I would get their spot.

It was a language class, so I guess it's an elective. (Unless you're majoring in that language!) Good luck, I hope you get in.
