Getting passed the open round for physics olympiad

Hi everyone,

Is it sufficient to have a thorough understanding of a textbook like Gliancoli Physics (link here: http://www.amazon.com/Physics-Principles-Applications-Douglas-Giancoli/dp/0130606200) to get past F=ma, or is it necessary to go way past this? If so, what books should I study?

My goal is to make the semifinal round for physics next year but I don’t know too much even though I have a strong math background.

Thank you.

LOL getting past^ not passed watch no one even reply to this thread because of that :))
