Getting published in a political journal/paper

I would like to publish some of my political papers in a political journal/paper. Does anyone know how to go about this, some resources for this, and/or some journals/papers that accept youth work?

Thanks so much in advance...

Go contact to your local newspaper/journal group either by e-mail or something, although i'm not sure if they would consider it.

bump 10 char

anybody??????

What, persay, are your credentials? I can't imagine any political journal/paper to be willing to publish anything from anyone lacking good references (from other periodicals) or degrees.

Try getting something published in your school paper. Do that for a year or two, and maybe start an internet blog. Amass something to distinguish yourself from other wannabe writers. Then try getting published.

I agree with moodrets i really doubt it's going to be easy for a high schooler to get published in a political journal unless you have credentials, expeerience and etc...from what i've seen, many journals i've seen so far are actually written by like college professors...

It's hard enough to get a political paper published even if you have a Masters in Political Science.

I seriously doubt a high schooler could get something published.

How would you start a internet blog? (Questions from the technologically illiterate)

You need to research query letters, how to prepare one and who to send it to (likely the editor of the department you're pitching for.) You also need to check whether x-paper is accepting unsolicited material.

Starting a blog is easier than making a myspace or a facebook.

Also, ivyleaguewannabe, I don't think anyone would want to read your political opinions.

Funny you guys should mention a blog...I just created one regarding this year's presidential election!!

If you want the link...just pm me and i will pm it back to you!!

(I just started the blog yesterday, so its nothing spectacular yet)

Either purchase a domain and host a blog yourself using provided software, or if you're able, create your own. Or use a blogging resource company such as wordpress.com.

Thanks everybody.

I'm bumping this up...super tired of reading artofmind's depression threads...all 5 of them!!
