Getting rescind after getting accepted in ED?

Is that possible?
What kinds of grades should accepted person maintain?

About B average? some 80s and some 90s will be safe enough to have my spot secured next year?

Anyone?

As and Bs are fine. Anything below that is a risk unless you were admitted with a history of lower grades.

What if you get a C in one class but your GPA remains a B?

wait are we sure that 1 or 2 C's is a risk?

You are not going to get rescind...

don't FAIL (not B or C fail)
don't get arrested

Seriously, they wont make that effort.

^^seriously lol, i didn't even submit my transcripts till after i entered the college....granted im a transfer .....plus when you send in your transcripts they go straight to the registrars office...NOT admissions...so unless you really bombed (C and below across the board) or someone in the registrars office is out to get you nothing will happen.....

I wish I knew this before I pulled an all nighter for finals this week -__-"

hahahha. yeah... i already had Cs on my trasncript, so I wasn't worried about another C =]]]

ohh so you solved that calc thing? yayyy!

ixjunitxi, mid year grades DO NOT go to the registrar's office, at least not for entering freshmen--look at the form. Transcripts are sent along with a counselor's form to admissions. On the form, it asks the counselor to note any change in schedule, performance, etc. that has occurred during the first semester. Final grades are also sent to the admissions office. While I believe it is uncommon for an acceptance to be rescinded, rest assured it does happen.

Why would you guys want B's and C's on your transcripts anyways if you could get that A?

Well it's not like you can wave a magic wand at any class and abra cadabra get an A.

All I can share from my personal experience is that a guy who went to my high school and now goes to Cornell failed his Calc final and got a "warning letter." (I also believe he'd been doing not-so-greatly in the class for his final semester- think Cs.)
I'm sure you won't get automatically rescinded unless you're flat-out failing a class. Anything above a C is definitely fine, and anything above a D is probably fine but will probably put you in "warning letter" area.

You will need to get below a 2.75 gpa or drop a class in order to be "reconsidered" by the adcoms.

but that doesnt mean u shouldnt be trying ur best in school right now. Also, if u had straight A+s all throughout high school and then u start getting Ds, Cs and As while maintaining that 2.75 gpa, your application can also be reconsidered.

...i was talking about final transcripts..after you have been accepted....i guess it applies only to tranfers b/c...we need to send mid year reports with our application for admission (as in before we are accepted)...

For (GT) transfers, we need to submit mid-year reports, and meet a school-specifc GPA/grade requirement to successfully exercise the GT option.

If you didn't do as well as you hoped last semester, you all (myself included!) need to step on it this semester, at least until the mid-year reports are sent.
