Getting rescinded

I am in serious trouble. I already have one C from AP Chemistry and i'm afraid I will get another. It's not that I was slacking, I just am awful with Chemistry (not an excuse, though). What do I do? I will probably have A's and B's in my other classes, AP US Government and Anatomy and Physiology.

Don’t worry about it. They do rescind a few people each year, but not for a C. (D’s and F’s)

I wouldn’t worry about getting rescinded for that. Just see if you can get it up by the end of the year

Ask your teacher if she can bump you for a few points to a B. If you already got accepted, she might do it just to protect your accepted status. It’s not like you’re applying anywhere else.

Since you are getting As and Bs in other AP classes, I assume you work well independently. If yes, explain the situation to your teacher and ask for a small project or other work you can do independently for extra credit. If you are having trouble with labs, this may even be a “research” project that involves understanding a latest development in Chem. Teachers are very usually supportive if you show willingness to work. You need to have the conversation now, and not leave it to the end of the year…
