I know decisions don’t come out for a couple of weeks, but I had question. I applied as a computer science major, and I’m really interested in the field, and I took AP Comp sci this year as a senior. The teacher at my school doesn’t really teach at all, and I really don’t like the teacher at all. I did get a C for the first semester in the class, but I’m thinking of dropping out of the class because it’s just too stressful of a class. I’m still gonna take the APCS ap test, and i know i’m going to pass. My question is that will i be rescinded if i get in for Computer Science, if I call admissions and tell them that I dropped out of AP Computer Science.
I doubt anybody here can’t predict your future. Is unlikely that anyone else’s situation is going to exactly match yours, and even if it did the admission landscape changes every year with the flood of applications.
If you call the school what they probably tell you is that they would have to take another look at your application and can’t make any decisions over the phone, but hey, it’s probably worth at least checking with them.
Call the school. No one here openly works for the admissions department. The quicker you do it, the faster they can get an answer to you so you can potentially recalculate your next few steps for college if a rescind does happen. Call them before they release decisions.
Also, you posted this thread awhile ago. Next time, just bump.
