so i might be getting 2 c's this marking period, do you think that might get me rescinded?

nah. Again, don't slump to the extent that you won't be able to pick yourself up and do work come next fall, but I think you'll be okay.

Not to highjack the thread, but..... Would having a straight A mid-year report be enough to boost a borderline candidate over the edge?

It'll help if you've been deferred and want to be accepted RA, but it won't help immensely.

I think that it is really hard to figure out U of C admissions. My child was originally deferred EA and then had one of her worst marking periods after that ( It was advanced Calculus and physics that did her in ). She wrote to Chicago and explained that math and science were not her strongest areas but she took the courses anyway in spite of the possibility of less than stellar grades, because she was interested in learning them. Well, she was accepted RD, so obviously great grades don't hurt, but in certain circumstances less than stellar grades might not kill you either.
