So for the past three and a half years my record has been pretty clean (3.9-4.0 unweighted GPA), but as senior slump inevitably sinks in I've been noticing my performance getting rocked. Which makes me worried. A lot.

So on average how many people do top colleges rescind (I'm talking HYPSM type stuff)? And usually how significant of a drop in performance merits revoking of admissions?

I don't know how many times I've seen this on the CC forums, but I'll still clear up some things:

1) Your grades have to drop significantly. Not like three B's or anything like that. Like D's and F's bad.

2) It's rare. Like, really rare. Michigan, a large, prestigious state school, only had 10 people who were on academic probation last year from high school grades (not necessarily rescinded, but I learned this from my tour on campus.)

^yeah, it's not like everyone gets rescinded, which might appear so from reading CC

I guess you're fine as long as you don't fail.
