I have eight academic classes this semester with four of those being APs. I wanna know how poorly I can do, without getting rescinded?

Would I be safe with 4 Bs and 4 Cs?

I have eight academic classes this semester with four of those being APs. I wanna know how poorly I can do, without getting rescinded?

Would I be safe with 4 Bs and 4 Cs?

no.
four Cs are too much.... you'd be good with 6Bs and 2Cs.

everyone says 3 Cs, 1 D, or 1F will get you rescinded

with 4 b's n 4 c's you will get a letter warning you

then you have to respond to that letter giving an explanation for your grades...thats about it.

but if you dont respond to the letter, or get much worse grades (3 b's, 3 c's, 2 d's), then you could be put on academic probation or even get rescinded.

Or you can just not suck and coast with at least all Bs.

So universities wouldn't mind seeing a student they accepted had mostly all A's but 12th grade, earn mostly all B's?

That's surprising

That's the nature of US admissions. Acceptances aren't conditional. If an admitted student's GPA drops from say 3.8 to 3.2 and that student does not get less than a B in any of the main subjects, the university will not blink. Cs will open some eyes and a D will be problematic. But to rescind an acceptance outright, a student must really drop to unreasonable lows.

So, Alexander, do you think 4 Bs and 4 Cs would be okay?

I know that no one knows for sure, but you seem to have the most expertise in this kinda subject on CC.

Or, how about 5 Bs, 2 Cs, and a D?

"That's the nature of US admissions. Acceptances aren't conditional.
My cousin's transfer admission to UW Madison was rescinded after seeing a couple of C's in his final college transcript.

Koreangurl, Cs are not acceptable. Do not tempt the University. 4 Bs and 4 Cs would give you a GPA of 2.5. At the very least, you will be asked to explain what happened, at the worst, you could be placed on probation, which will remain on your record and will be seen when you apply to graduate schools. Like I said, you can be reasonable (straight Bs instead of Straight As), but anything less than a 3.0 is just inviting trouble.

You get a letter asking for an explanation if you get 3 C's, 1 D, or 1 F.

Don't risk it. Even if they don't rescind or put you on probation, getting one of those letters will ruin your summer.
